The latest CSR initiative, which falls under Al-Futtaim Malls Festival Cares programme, is under the slogan “Khalawees...Lesa.”
Following its last year’s initiative with Resala, CFC Mall is contributing for the second consecutive year to pay off the debt of many Egyptian mothers through collaborating with Misr El-Kheir. This collaboration comes in line with CFC Mall’s efforts in fulfilling its CSR role through reaching different segments, as it is also among a series of various partnerships making the mall a strategic partner of Misr El Kheir Foundation.
Over the span of two consecutive years with CFC Mall taking part in supporting indebted mothers through significant collaborations with prominent foundations, the debt of over 40 women will be paid off so they can be reunited with their families. This showcases the mall’s strategy in launching campaigns and executing partnerships that would serve as a main source of joy and happiness not only for its clients, but for the entire Egyptian community. In addition to manifesting CFC Mall’s strong belief in the necessity for mothers to be among their families for their pivotal role in society.
On his part, Hayssam Hajjar, General Manager of Cairo Festival City Mall said: “Cairo Festival City Mall puts the corporate social responsibility as a prior priority while setting women empowerment as a main pillar of our strategy. The Egyptian women represent the solid foundation of our society causing women empowerment to become an extremely crucial aspect to properly invest into the upcoming generations. Taking this into consideration, we are extremely proud of this initiative in partnership with Misr El Kheir, and we are looking forward to the continuity of more efforts dedicated to empowering Egyptian women.”
Mrs. Suhair Awad, director of the debtors' program at the Misr El-Kheir Foundation, expressed her happiness to support "Cairo Festival City Mall" and its continuous societal role and support for the role played by the Misr El-Kheir Foundation in its campaigns "to support vulnerable mothers and change their lives for the better while empowering them economically through various development projects carried out by the program. The initiative aims to improve the quality of life of these groups by meeting all their needs and transforming them from lenders into mothers of products.
Mrs. Suhair Awad affirmed her appreciation for the social responsibility undertaken by "Cairo Festival City Mall" as a development partner with Misr El Kheir Foundation and we are pleased to continue working together as partners in social development.
Amal Mubdy, Executive Director of the Resource Development Sector at Misr El-Kheir Foundation, said, "The cooperation with" Cairo Festival City Mall "in this campaign to support women in debt is a new step in the journey that we have started together, and I assure my full appreciation to all companies that are fully carrying out their societal role, this role headed by "Cairo Festival City Mall", is an example to be followed in establishing social responsibility as the basis of its strategy and basic goals. “We are proud of this endless cooperation between us, and we hope for more future initiatives. "
It is worth noting that Cairo Festival City Mall works continuously to support the most deserving and affected segments of the Egyptian society. Due to the difficult conditions and exceptional circumstances experienced by many this year, the mall was keen to provide support through diverse initiatives, with this one specifically targeting indebted mothers. Aside from the CFC Mall’s donations to Misr El Kheir, the mall organized a series of sports and artistic events that encouraged participants to engage in the cause through donations as it believes in the integral role of the society.
